Homemade Waffles

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ¾ cups milk
  • ½ cup butter, melted (or vegetable oil)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined (don’t overmix!).
  5. Lightly grease the waffle iron, then pour in the batter. Cook according to your waffle maker’s settings until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve warm with butter, syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream!

Variations & Add-Ins:

🍫 Chocolate Chip Waffles – Add ½ cup mini chocolate chips to the batter.
🫐 Berry Waffles – Fold in ½ cup fresh blueberries or raspberries.
🥥 Coconut Waffles – Replace ¼ cup milk with coconut milk and add shredded coconut.
🥞 Buttermilk Waffles – Swap regular milk for buttermilk for extra tangy, fluffy waffles.
