Ingredients:
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter 🧈
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon 🍋
- Zest of 1 lemon 🍋
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika (optional, for color)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Season the salmon:
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
- Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
2️⃣ Sear the salmon:
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and melt 1 tbsp butter.
- Add the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 3-4 minutes until crispy.
- Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes, then transfer to a plate.
3️⃣ Make the brown butter sauce:
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining 3 tbsp butter over medium heat.
- Stir continuously until the butter turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma (about 2 minutes).
- Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
4️⃣ Add lemon & finish:
- Remove the skillet from heat and stir in lemon juice and lemon zest.
- Pour the sauce over the salmon fillets.
5️⃣ Garnish & Serve:
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
