Lemon-Brown Butter Salmon

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter 🧈
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon 🍋
  • Zest of 1 lemon 🍋
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional, for color)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions:

1️⃣ Season the salmon:

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
  • Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.

2️⃣ Sear the salmon:

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and melt 1 tbsp butter.
  • Add the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 3-4 minutes until crispy.
  • Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes, then transfer to a plate.

3️⃣ Make the brown butter sauce:

  • In the same skillet, melt the remaining 3 tbsp butter over medium heat.
  • Stir continuously until the butter turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma (about 2 minutes).
  • Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

4️⃣ Add lemon & finish:

  • Remove the skillet from heat and stir in lemon juice and lemon zest.
  • Pour the sauce over the salmon fillets.

5️⃣ Garnish & Serve:

  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
